Trigger Point Therapy (NAT®)
Trigger points are tender spots in muscle that most of us have experienced at some time or other - most commonly at the back of our shoulder blades. They can cause headache, face pain, vertigo, spatial disorientation, blurred vision, headache, phantom dental pain and even tinnitus. They are the most important discovery in muscle pain of the 20th and 21st centuries because the vast majority of the pain that people see osteopaths for help with, is muscular.
Many thousands of patients have now been successfully treated with NAT® and evidence for the effectiveness of trigger point therapy has been established by research at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
